Compassionate face-to-face psychotherapy in central Hove
I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor / psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with over 10 years of experience working in the Brighton & Hove area.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework.
Alongside my private practice, I work for the Sussex based charity Mankind UK. Mankind UK is a pioneering therapeutic service that supports male survivors of sexual abuse. Through this work I have valuable experience of counselling within a trauma-informed framework.

I am an integrative therapist and value the importance of building a respectful and empathic relationship with my clients. I believe that this strong therapeutic relationship enables the client to feel understood and safe enough to explore issues in their life that may be causing distress.
I have a particular interest in attachment theory and how early relationships can set up enduring and sometimes problematic beliefs about the self. My approach is to invite compassionate curiosity around how these patterns came to be, especially if they no longer appear to be helpful for the client.
This insight then paves the way for an acceptance and understanding of the past as well as offering opportunities to experiment with new ways of being both inside and outside of the therapy room.
I practice from 10 The Drive, Hove, BN3 3JA. Sessions can be held online or face to face. I see clients from Brighton & Hove, Portslade, Southwick and throughout the wider UK.
I prefer to work in person where possible. This is because I value the way in which all clients communicate with their whole bodies. This can sometimes get missed on an online call.
However, I also recognise that for some people, an online service allows for greater accessibility. For that reason I am willing to see some clients and supervisees online. If this is of interest to you, we can explore this at our initial consultation.
In my career as a therapist, I have worked with a variety of presenting issues including:
Anxiety
Depression
Addiction
Relational problems
Social isolation
Low self esteem
Childhood abuse
Sexual abuse
Issues around identity
Neurodiversity
